Sr. Teresa Okure is from Nigeria, a graduate of the University of Ibadan, La
Sorbonne, Ecole Biblique of Jerusalem, and Fordham University (Ph.D.) and is
presently Professor of New Testament at the Catholic Institute of West Africa, Port
Harcourt, Nigeria.

She has been a member of the executive committees of EATWOT (Ecumenical
Association of Third World Theologians), the International Association of Mission
Studies (IAMS), and the Society for New Testament Studies (SNTS). She has
published more than 100 articles and six books. Most recently, Sr. Teresa gave the
2006 CAFOD Pope Paul VI Lecture in London and presented on Spirituality in
Respect of Diversity at the World Forum on Theology and Liberation in Nairobi.
